HEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 20. The dominion croquet tournament is now drawing to a close. Fine weather has been experienced almost right throughout the tourney. Mrs Scandrett, who was showing a great deal of promise, sprained her wrist, and therefore forfeits her position in the third round each life, in the women s championship. A close finish was recorded in the second round open championship, when A. G. F. Ross beat Mrs Clark by two points in each game. WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. FIRST LIFE. —Second Round. — Mrs Iveys beat Mrs Bartlett, 26-22. —Third Hound. — Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Brass, 26-19 Mrs Keys beat Mrs Scandrett by default. —Semi-final. — Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Gambrill, 26-7. Mrs Caldow beat Mrs Keys, 26-0. —Final.— Mrs Caldow won by two games to one. SECOND LIFE. —Third Hound. — Mrs Gambrill beat Mrs Tingcy, 26-3. Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Scandrett by default. CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES. —Scmi-final.-T-Captain Hartnell and Mrs Henderson beat E, Managh and Mrs Bartlett, 26-18. —Final.— H. P. Stratton and Airs Palmer beat Captain Hartnell and Mrs Henderson.
