MR ERNEST DRAKE’S RECITAL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —1 notice that the whole of the proceeds of this recital are to be handed over to Rev, Bryan King’s Christmas cheer fund. At first sight to the bulk of your readers this may not mean anything, but it appears to me that Mr Drake is making a donation to the fund of about £6O, and I wish to commend both Mr Drake and his pupils for their action. These annual recitals are usually looked upon by music teachers as one of their perquisites after a strenuous year’s teaching. Hoping the public will show their appreciation by turning up in full force.— l am, etc., Well-wisher. December 15.
