AMERICAN SWIMMERS
APPEARANCES IN DUNEDIN OFFERED The secretary of the Otago Swimming Centre has received a telegram from the secretary of the New Zealand Council stating that it would be possible to arrange two appearances in Dunedin of the American team comprised of Kalili and Kurtz after the New Zealand championships towards the end of February. The cost would be about £6O. Kalili is one of the world’s greatest allround' swimmers, and has beaten Buster Crabbe, the Olympic 400-metres champion, while Kurtz is one of the world’s best divers, being third in the Olympip high-diving championship. The Otago Centre will meet to-morrow night to consider the matter.
