NO. 4 DISTRICT
At midnight on Saturday last, when 300 patrons heartily joined in the singing of ‘ Auld Lang Syne,’ there was terminated one of the most successful dances held in No. 4 district. This week, owing to the hall being engaged on Saturday for a children’s party, the Social Committee has decided to hold its weekly function on Wednesday next at 8 p.m. Fred Hinde’s Carlton Dance Band will supply the music, good prizes will be awarded to the fortunate winners of the lucky spot and Monte Carlo dances, and the admission charge of 6d each will bo retained. Christmas eve and New Year’s eve dances have been planned, and all dancing enthusiasts are assured of a pleasant time on these occasions. Fuller details will be advertised at a later date, but in the meantime patrons are asked to remember that the dance to be held on Wednesday, December 14, is in place of the usual popular Saturday night function.
