THE KING'S PRIZE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 13. (Received October 13, at 9 a.m.) The first stage of the King’s Prize was opened in favourable weather. The Prince of Wales watch (seven shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards) was won by H M. Nott (South Australia) after a shoot-off with J. Perrin (Queensland). E. Ballinger (New Zealand) was brilliant, registering 102 out of 105 and securing thirteenth place. Other New Zealanders’ scores were as follow;—O’Donnell 98, Cromie 98, A. Ballinger, Rule, and Carter 96, Nichojl, W. Ballinger, and Chapman 95, Koppert 91. The Holmes shoot (possible 40) resulted; Chapman 37, Cromie 35, Nicholl 34.
