CHINESE GREW
+ MUTINY ON BRITISH TANKER OVERPOWERED BY FASCIST MILITIA Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME, August 27. A mutiny of the Chinese crew, numbering twenty-six, on the British tanker Haliotis at Naples was only controlled when the Fascist militia, with revolvers, boarded the vessel and locked the mutineers in two cabins. The trouble arose when the captain rebuked the helmsman for negligence. The helmsman closed with the master, biting him severely on the hands before he was , driven off by the other British officers. The helmsman called the other Chinese, and they rushed the bridge armed with knives and other weapons. The officers defended themselves until the militia arrived. One Chinaman was taken to hospital.
