PACIFIC CLUB

Tho Pacific Club held a race from Outran! over a course of approximately 22 miles from Outran! to Berwick, across to Henley, and back to Outran! via Allanton. The roads were in good condition, except for the last few miles, which proved rather troublesome owing to having been newly metalled. A field of eleven faced the starter, and a good race resulted in a win for C. Sanson off 6£min, who was closely followed home by G. Foster (4min). The scratch men had an almost hopeless task, and after Hansen withdrew M'Callum went on on his own and made the fastest time. W. Templeton went a good race for one who has been riding for more than eight years, and was not very far back at the finish.

Result;—C. Sanson (GJmin) 1, G. Foster (4min) 2, C. Lucas (2min) 3, A. Blackie (3min) 4, F. Johnson (Ghnin) 5. D. M'Callum (scr) G. Fastest time, D. M'Callum, CGmiii 32see. Tho race was ably controlled by Messrs C. A. Lucas, J. B. Wilcox, G. Deans, A. Blackie, and J. Leslie. The thanks of tho club aro due to Mr F. Ayson, of the Outram Hotel, who kindly supplied dressing rooms for the riders.
