HOLIDAY CRUISES
ACTIVITY AT SOUTHAMPTON BIG LINERS BEING PREPARED. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, July SO. Southampton is the scene of record activity this week-end as twenty-two vessels, totalling 610,000 tons, and including the Empress of Britain, the Aquitania, the Berengaria, the Olympic, the Homeric, and other big liners, are sailing on holiday cruises to Mediterranean and other ports, and cruises round the British Isles. The cruise bookings, which are four times as great as those of last year, give evidence of the growing movement to spend holidays cruising in British vessels.
