SWIMMERS AND ATHLETES’ DANCE
For . the first time in the history of either association, the Otago Swimming and Athletic Centres have combined to hold a big sportsmen’s dance, which will take place at the Pioneer Hall next Thursday night, and the function promises to be the best social affair yet held by either body. Supper is to be arranged in three relays, and supper tickets will be issued at the door, thus avoiding confusion in the supper room, where a strong committee of lady supporters will have charge of the arrangements. Old and new dances will be featured, and first-class music will be provided by the Kenz Orpiienns’ Dance Band. Special novelty attractions are being arranged, for which prizes will be awarded. Dancing will be from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
