A.B.G. MEETING TRAINING AT ELLERSLIE [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 31. Ideal weather prevailed for training operations at Ellerslie, and most interesting work was witnessed by a largo number of spectators. All fast work was done on the No. 1 grass track, the poles being about Bft out from the rails. The going, though still somewhat holding, was better than it had been during the last few days. On No. 1 grass Imamint was holding Echo Song safely at the end of half a mile in 52 2-ssec. Silvermine was going better than Grand Spirit after six furlongs. They ran the first three in 38 3-oscc, and the full distance in Train 21 2-ssec. Silvermine did his work in good style. Ruling King and Gold Money were allotted «v similar task, and after running the first three in 41sec •Gold Money was doing the best at the finish, to record Imin 23 3-ssec. White Fang ran home from the threefurlong post in 41 sec, hitting out freely. Fairway was allotted a round, which he completed in 2min 9 4-ssec, the last six taking Imm 28 4-ssec, and tire final half-mile in 57 2-ssec on the bit throughout. Tarporley and Royal Survey were on terms several lengths in front of Marching Song at the end of six furlongs in Imin 21 1-osoc. Sunny Sky ran a similar distance in Train 23 4-ssec, going easily at the finish. Kamehamelia and Operatic finished a round in 2min 3 4-sseo, and Gay Cockade in 2inin 2 l-ssec, the last six taking Imin 21 2-ssec. He was kicked up at the finish. All Humbug was under restraint while running half a mile in 56seo- Tahae Mea was too good for Glenhaupo over a similar distance in 33 l-ssec. Hampton Park recorded the best half-mile of the morning iu 51 4-ssee. Toujours jumped off at the six-furlong post, taking 41 2-ssec for the first three furlongs, and completed the six in Imin 22soc. Chromadyue, after taking 20 3-ssec for the first two furlongs, ran home from the five-furlong post in Imin "sec, easing up at the finish. Miladi, Moonfleet, and Psychologist were bunched, with Coriuax a couple of lengths back at the end of six furlongs. They ran the first three in 41sec and completed the distance m Imin 20 l-ssec. Cynthia N- ran the last five furlongs ot her work in Imin 3 4-ssec.

True Shaft and Little Doubt jumped awav together at the seven-furlong post, taking 2-5 l-ssec for the first two and Train 33scc for the distance. This was a real good gallop. High Pitch showed to more advantage than L‘oxhound over seven furlongs in Train 13 2-ssec. High Pitch looks in firstrate condition. Pull Measure. Royal Visitor, Spring Abbey, Catimes, and Thunderstorm were companions over four schooling hurdles on the course proper. Full Measure gave a first-class display, running Train 22 l-ssec from hurdle to hurdle. Royal Visitor pleased most of the others. Easterly and Balloon were companions over five furlongs. Their display was onlv moderate. Nukumai and Fernden gave a good display over four hurdles, though Fernden hit _ the last. Thev recorded 1 min 2-1 2-sscc from hurdle to hurdle. Luminary was always going better than Lncess in a mile and a-half over five hurdles in 3min 5 2-sscc, taking 2min 25 l-ssec from hurdle to hurdle. Luminary pleased much better I than his companion. ; Full mark made a first-class showing. | jumping four hurdles in Train 22 l-sse<-Nassock, Master Lu. Apache, Monetize. ! C'allamart, and Haakon were also 1 schooled over the big fences. Master Lu jumped well throughout. Nassock put up a good showing, and Callamart j also impressed favourably.
