RADIO PROGRAMMES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I agree with your correspondents “ Disgusted ” and “ Radio ” re tho rebroadcasting of the Wellington memorial bells, and it only goes to show who gives us tho better service. They are to bo thanked heartily by all listeners who were enabled to hoar the bells through the courtesy of 4ZM. With regard to “ Fair Play ” in Saturday’s issue of your paper re tho children’s hour at 4YA, I say “ hands offl” It is quite the happiest hour in 4YA programmes, and Brother Bill is certainly a credit to tho station for the way he conducts it. Now, in your Tuesday’s issue 1 notice that 4YA s programme is to consist of the St, Kilda Band, two gentlemen who are to sing a number of items, and some records, nod that constitutes the evening's programme—no humour, no elocution. or sketches, or anything oi a mixed nature to make the programme more attractive. Surely a bad state of affairs! —l am, otc., Zanette. May 10.
