An oll’ucLivo method of cleaning carpels or rut's, ami also removing Hie eat and dog hairs which ordinary relishes cannot cope with, is to tear seme newspaper into tiny pieces—just as if one were going for a paper chase-- uul soak them in water until thoroughly soft. Then sprinkle the paper all over the carpet and sweep up with a stilt broom. You will ho astonished at the amount of dirt and hair you got off. Tin; colour of the carpet will be greatly improved.
