ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
LORRY AND TRUCK COLLIDE* MARRIED MAN KILLED. [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 15. , One man was killed and another injured seriously when a light motor lorry in which they were riding collided with the back of a heavy motor truck parked outside Freeman’s Bay Police Station to-night. The victims were;— James Naiightou, aged 37, married, of College Hill, killed: Albert Best, aged 33, single, of Cook street, head injuries; condition serious* The motor truck with which the lorry collided was being used for the conveyance of special constables, and was waiting outside Freeman’s Bay Police Station. FATAL INJURIES. A share milker of Waitoa named Robert Poole, thirty-three years of age, who was admitted to the Waikato Hospital in a serious condition with a gunshot wound in his chest, the result of the accidental discharge of a shotgun, which was being examined by his twelve-year-old son, succumbed to his injuries last evening.—Hamilton Press Association telegram.
