FALL OF EARTH AND ROCK. MAN DIES FROM INJURIES. •As the result of injuries received when he was caught under the fall of, earth and rock at his home at Seatoun road yesterday Olaf Hansen, a taxi driver, died in the Wellington Hospital at 5.5 a p.m. Hansen was engaged excavating a bank when some of the overhanging rock gave way and a quantity came down on him, burying him up to his waist. A neighbour who saw the occurrence rushed to his aid and helped him out. Ho was conveyed to the hospital in great pain, where he succumbed to his injuries about an hour .after being admitted. —Press Association. SHOT BY NEIGHBOUR’S SON. Robert Pool, a farmer, of Springvale, single, and aged thirty-two years, was shot in the chest by a neighbour’s son, aged thirteen years. The .cause of tho discharging of the gun is unknown., His condition is serious. Te Aron* Press Association. <
