HUNTER SURRENDERS HIMSELF
REMANDED IN CUSTODY Leonard Daniel Hunter gave himself up to the police this morning, and later appeared in the Police Court, before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., on a charge of inciting lawlessness. Sub-inspector Cameron said that Hunter gave himself up a few minutes before the sitting of the court. He knew there was a warrant out for his arrest, and he had been under cover for the past twenty-four hours. He had been the leader |of the disorder that had taken place, \and had led the procession to the Hospital Board’s office. Hunter was remanded till Wednesday, on which day the men who were arrested yesterday will appear. He made no application for bail. Hunter is a New Zealander, twentynine years of age.
