‘FAIR WARNING'

OUTDOOR ROMANCE FOR STRAND Action is the keynote promised in ‘ Fair Warning,’ the Fox Movietone great outdoor romance, with George O’Brien in the leading role, which will be shown at the Strand Theatre tomorrow. The picture starts with a thrill, and one exciting episode follows another until the climax is reached. The opening scene discloses a picturesque valley, with snowcapped mountains in the background. Deep in the valley is seen a magnificent stallion. Surveying the scene is “ Whistlin’ Dan Bhrry,” the character enacted by O’Brien. He is mounted on a range horse, and, after a moment’s hesitation, ho loosens his lariat and tears out after the stallion, finally succeeding in driving him up to a narrow ledge of rock that overhangs the lake. Realising that he is cornered, the stallion leaps from the precipice to the water 50ft or more beloiv. O’Brien dashes back and gains tho opposite shore as'the stallion emerges from the water. He is close enough now to throw hie lariat, and succeeds in roping the animal’s front feet and throwing him. Next he transfers his saddle to the back of the steed, and, loosening the rope, gains his back as the stallion leaps to his feet. He tries bis best to unhorse O’Brien, resorting to all the tricks ho knows to throw tho rider, but after a desperate fight O’Brien breaks him. This stallion has a record of having killed two men in motion pictures, but O’Brien’s method is one of kindness, and he spent three weeks in getting acquainted with him before the picture started. O’Brien portrays the character of a primitive, but handsome young man who has an uncanny influence over wild animals. Louise Huntington, the New York stage beauty, portrays the role of the girl, and the supporting cast, headed by Mitchell Harris, George Brent, and Nat Pendleton, includes Erwin Connelly, John Sheehan, Willard Robertson, and Alphonz Ethier. ‘ Fair Warning ’ is based on Max Brand’s widelyread thriller, ‘The Untamed,’ and Ernest L. Pascal, the noted dramatist and author, made the adaptation and wrote the dialogue. Extra attractions will bo tho sparkling comedy drama, ‘ Girls Demand Excitement,’ and the latest Fox Movietone News. Tho box plans are at The Bristol.
