DEAD AT ROADSIDE
MAORI ARRESTED FOR NEGLIGENT DRIVING [Pjr United Pbess Association.) HAWERA, February 26. Apparently struck by a car, Reginald Ernest Duggan, aged twenty, was found dead on Glover road, Hawera, shortly after midnight. The push cycle he had been riding was found' some distance away, completely wrecked. Early this morning Pikau Pokau, a Maori, aged twenty-one, was arrested and remanded on a charge of negligent driving, thereby causing Duggan’s death.
