THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Sellers again predominated in the banking section in the call over this morning, and no sales were effected. In the insurance section New Zealand Insurances were offered down to 38s 6d, with no response from buyers. Union Steam Ships have persistent buyers at 19s lid, with few sellers appearing. Westport Coals were offered down to 225, but buyers were not in evidence. The buying quotation for New Zealand Drugs has improved over the last two or three days, but sellers are apparently scarce. A return of from the Kildare Consolidated failed to produce any enthusiasm, buyers still offering Is Bd, with sellers 2d away. King Solomons were sold at Is 9d, the closing quotations being buyers Is Bd, sellers Is 9d. There were no buying quotations for Government issues, but a sale of 1937 5£ per cent. BROKEN HILL PROPRIETARY. [Per United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, February 24. The Stock Exchange Association has received the following from the Broken Hill Proprietary Company Ltd, “B” series debentures.—Counsel having advised that the company’s debentures are subject to the provisions pf the Financial Emergency Act of Victoria, which came into force on October 1, 1931, interest coupons, which are due at the Commonwealth Bank on April 1 next, will be payable at £2 14s 3d in lieu of £3 10s each. Coupons for each subsequent half-year during the duration of the Act will be payable at the above amended rate.
