ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
MENTAL DEPRESSION. Herbert Edwin Le Grove (aged fifty'five), formerly a member of the ‘ Hansard * staff, was found dead at his residence in Tinakori'road, Wellington,; yesterday morning. At an inquest Mr. T. B. M'Ncil, coroner, returned a verdict that the deceased died from gas poisoning, self-administered, while m a depressed mental condition. MOTOR CAPSIZES. MR JESSEP SUSTAINS PAINFUL INJURIES. Travelling between Waikaremoana! and Wairoa yesterday, Mr Jessep, or the Unemployment Board, met with a‘ painful accident. Trouble _ occurred with the steering gear, and his car got out of control. It hit a bank, going over on its side, and as a result of; the impact Mr Jessep suffered painful injuries, consisting of a double fracture of the right arm,. lacerations, and bruises ancLcuts on nis face, arms,_ and 1 logs. He was admitted to a private hospital last evening, and inquiries this morning showed that the patient was progressing satisfactorily Press Association telegram.
