The Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt, of Christchurch, left Dunedin this morning for Oamaru. Mr D. F. Bauchop, general manager Leyland Motors, was a passenger for Wellington by the second express today. Mr Gerald Benson is on his way _ to Wellington, having left this morning by the 11.35 train. Mr John M'Donald travelled to Lyttelton to-day to keep,an appointmentin Wellington to-morrow. Mr A. H. Allen took passage by the second express to-day, purposing to attend the meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce at Wellington; Mr F. J. Powell, who has been in insurance business in Dunedin for; twelve years, went north this morning to embark for England, Mr B. Pritchard, who is well known in the Dunedin tram services, started this morning on hia return to England,; Mr P. Rouse, works manager for K.: and P. at Burnside, was farewelled on the Dunedin station this morning as he began his trip, with his wife and daughter, bound for the Old Country. Lieutenant J. W. Tweedib, of th» Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, arrived at Wellington by the Remuera. He is to be junior aide-de-camp to Hia Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe. Mr A. O. Davidson (general manager of the Bank of New South'Wales) left Dunedin by car for Christchurch this morning. He was accompanied by Mr, C. W. Cox (manager of the local branch of the bank) as far as Bushey Park, where an inspection was made of th® estate. /. \ A Greymodth Press Association tele* frara announces the death of Mr David [‘Kay, president of the local bowling club, at the age of sixty. A Press Association cable message from London states that Mr J. F. PlattsMills, of New Zealand, has been called to the bar of the Diner Temple.
