NELSON TEAM ON TOUR [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 27. Tho Nelson team played a one-day match hero to-day on its way to Hamilton to play South Auckland for the Hawke Cup. The visitors had first use of the wicket, but wore all out for 114, the batsmen failing before the two boy googly bowlers —Brown, who captured live for 41, and Mallard, who secured four for 24. Ralfe 39, Searell 23j Neale 18, and Busch 17 were the principal scorers in Nelson’s total of 114. Wellington ran up 257 for seven wickets, and then applied tho closure (Dempster 60, Lamason 67 not out, James 34, Morgan 27, Ell 19, Coltman 18). The catching of the Nelson men was very faulty, Dempster being dropped four times. Nelson in its second innings scored 135 for six wickets (Ralfe 57, A. Newman 36). Browne took three wickets for 35.
