HOLDINGS IN AMERICA TO BE TRANSFERRED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 19. The Bank of France lias arranged to repatriate 125,000,000 dollars in gold, which is now held under earmark by New York bankers. Howeyer, it is asserted that Hie transfer will not involve any increase in the gold holdings of the French Central Bank nor any decrease in the monetary stocks of the gold of the United States, which a week ago totalled 4,457,000,000 dollars, aside from which approximately 400,000,000 dollars here are earmarked to foreign accounts, particularly Belgium.
