STRAY DOGS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I heartily concur with the sentiments expressed by “ Once Thrown ” on stray dogs. It is absolutely scandalous the way these dogs (and they are not all collarless) are allowed to roam the streets—Princes and George streets in particular—defacing shop fronts and leaving behind them ob-
noxious odours and disgusting disfigurements. Surely the “ leash ” by-law is one that could be quite readily enforced without much expense, for, I understand, there is an inspector employed by the council whose duty it is to confiscate any dog found 1 in the city unleashed. Now that our summer weather is hero these dogs are always liable to spread or‘create diseases. —I am, etc., „ Many Times Troubled. January 20.
