BROADSIDING MEETING POSTPONED

The broadsiding meeting set down for to-night lias been postponed until Tuesday night, when the same programme will be presented. The international match race will be contested by W. Hull (England), Laurie Packer and Tommy Tompkins (Australia), and in view of the way these riders performed in Christchurch last week some highly spectacular broadsiding should bo witnessed. An intertrack contest between Christchurch and Dunedin will be staged, and in addition there will be two handicap events. Jim Kesbit and Peter Lyders are representing Otago in the intertrack contest, and Canterbury will bo represented by Shorty Wicks and Eric Pyke. Wicks put up some fast times here last week and is a most spectacular broadsider, while Pyke has a good reputation as a rider in Christchurch also. Popular prices are being charged, and the meeting should be a big success.
