SHIPPING
SAlLED.—January 6. Waipiata, s.s. (12.20 p.m.), 2,826 tons, Elders, for Auckland via ports. DIRECT FOR LONDON. The Taii'oa is due at Port Chalmers on Tuesday next from northern ports. She will complete loading and sail the following day for London and West Coast of England ports via Panama. MATAKANA ON FRIDAY. The Matakana is expected to berth at Dunedin on Friday afternoon next and will sail on Monday for northern ports, WOOL FOR LONDON. The Cumberland is due at Port Chalmers about the end of this week to complete loading, this being her port of departure tor London. She will lift a consignment of Otago wool for the London wool sale.
