SAVING CERTIFICATES

The conversion offer issued by the Treasury in regard to saving certificates is subject to favourabltycomment. Whereas the offers of conversion will be welcomed by the holder, from the viewpoint of Treasury finance the conversion of certificates into a longer-dated security will also have advantages by a reduction of the type of indebtedness which may be regarded as a form of floating debt.
