CHRISTMAS WEATHER
WARM IN ENGLAND (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, December 28. Remarkably warm weather was the chief feature of the Christmas holiday, the parka and commons being thronged with people. Road traffic was heavy on Saturday and Sunday, and promenades at the seaside resorts presented a gay appearance. The railways were exceptionally busy on Christmas Eve, Saturday, and Sunday. The warm weather is unlikely to continue. Although snow has not yet been forecast in England it fell heavily in parts of Scotland to-day, and at several Hjghland centres preparations are in train for winter sports.
