AMERICAN INVESTIGATION REPORT BY COMMITTEE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, WASHINGTON, December 26. A' Senate committee to-day reported intensive participation by banks in the securities market to exaggerate business fluctuations and undermine economic stability. The committee, which was headed by Senator Glass, a Democrat, of Virginia, was appointed by the last Congress to survey the Natioual 'and 1 Federal reserve banking systems, and its report stated that, despite the very, significant and mischievous role played by brokers’ loans on account of others during the stock market inflation, no special steps were reported by the Federal Reserve Bank authorities to investigate them for the purposes of future control until, the present investigation was ordered by the Senate Com* mittee on, Banking and Currency.
