FABRANT—FERGUSON. A very picturesque wedding was solemnised ou Tuesday evening at St. Peter’s Church, when Lily, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. K. Ferguson, of Warrington, was married to Edgar D., youngest son of Mr and Mrs A. E. Tarrant, of Wellington. The Rev. Canon Button officiated at the ceremony, with Miss Favell at the organ. The bride made a charming picture as she entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of,the Wedding March, followed by her two maids. Her frock was of ivory silk lace, cut on simple lines, and was completely enveloped by her beautiful veil of Brussels net, handsomely embroidered, which was worn cap fashion off her face, and held in place at the ears by clusters of orange blossoms, and fell behind in a graceful train._ Sho carried in her arm a sheaf of lilies. Her two bridesmaids —Miss Emma Ferguson and Miss Mona Fei'guson—wore dainty frocks of apricot and soft jade supple satin respectively, with picture hats to match of crinoline straw worn off the face, with a wreath of tiny flowers beneath their frocks were made with tight-fitting sleeveless bodices-and skirts befrilled to the waist, with long sash ends falling to tho hems, finished with dainty posies of flowers. They wore amber necklaces and earrings, the gifts of tho bridegroom. Bouquets of deep apricot-tinted roses, with wings of net to tone, completed their toilettes. Tho bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Leonard Farrant, as best man, and by Mr Peter N. Hick as groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception and supper was held at the Strand Salon, where Mr and Mrs Ferguson, assisted by tho bridegroom’s parents, received the guests, numbering upwards of fifty. Mrs Ferguson wore for the occasion a frock of black Colanese relieved with beige georgette, with black hat, and carried a bouquet of deep red roses. Mrs Farrant wore an ensemble of biscuit-coloured lace and georgette, with hat to tone, her bouquet being composed of golden pansies and orchids. The bride and bridegroom left later for the north, where the honeymoon will bo spent, the bride wearing a navy blue ensemble suit flecked with white, with hat and shoes to tone. STRATTON —LATTIMEII. On Wednesday, December 23, a quiet wedding was celebrated at Knox Church, Dunedin, when tho Rev. D. C. Herron joined Ernest Stratton and Eva Lattimcr, both of this city, in the bonds of matrimony. The bride entered the church on tho arm of her brother-in-law (Mr J. Luff). She wore a frock of delphinium blue, with a pineapple straw hat, and carried a sheaf of delphiniums. Miss Daisy Anderson, who a'ttended tho brido as bridesmaid, wore a nigger brown frock, with a fawn felt hat and shoes to tone, and carried a sheaf of golden roses. Mr John Shannon was best man. A reception was held later in tho Somerset Lounge, when only the immediate relatives of both parties were present. The guests included Mrs D. E. Brown (Auckland), Mrs J. Myles (Ohaktino Junction), Air and Mrs George Stratton, Air and Airs J. Luff, Airs T. Shannon, Airs S. Davies, and Alisses K. Brown (Auckland), H. Stratton, N. Shannon, D. Anderson, G. and P. Shannon, and R. Lattimcr, Air J. Shannon, blasters W. Brown, AI. Stratton, W. Davies, and J. Myles, Air and Airs Stratton left later by the second express for the north. PARSONS—GREEN. At 6 o’clock on Wednesday, December IC, St. Patrick’s Basilica was the scone of a very pretty wedding, when Marion, eldest daughter of Air and Airs John Green, of Anderson’s Bay road, was married by tho Rev. Father AEDevib to Arthur John (Jack), eldest son of Air and Airs A. E. Parsons, of Caversham. Tho brido entered the

church on tho arm of her father, a charming picture in a wdiito satin frock, with a beautiful coronet and veil, and carrying a sheaf of white roses, her only ornament being a rope of beautiful pearls, tho gift of her aunt in Scotland. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Bessie Green and Miss Isabelle Knudson, both wearing charming sleeveless frocks of green silk voile, pink and green hats, and shoes to tone, and carrying bouquets of sweet peas and roses. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Joe Parsons, as best man, and by Mr Charles Green 'as groomsman. Appropriate music was provided at the church by Mr P. Hanly, assisted by Mr A. Heffornan. After the ceremony Mrs Green, assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, received over eighty guests at tho Embassy Salon. After the breakfast dancing was indulged in until an early hour. Many beautiful presents were received, including cheques, one from as far as Scotland. The happy couple left for the north on their honeymoon amid showers of confetti and rose petals.
