TWENTY-ONE HEW ENGLAND INSTITUTIONS CLOSE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, December 21. The bank closings during the weekend included three more New England institutions and the Standard Trust Bank in Cleveland. The last-named was the first banking venture by organised Labour, and was forced to liquidate its assets, which in 1930 exceeded 22,000,000 dollars. It was founded in 1920 by the Railway Brotherhoods.
The twenty-one Now England banks which have closed had deposits totalling 96,363,000 dollars.
