TAIERI WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
The monthly meeting of the Taieri Women’s Institute was held in Kinmont Hall, East Taieri. Blackie (president) opened the meeting by reading tne creed, alter which Mrs Kirkland gave an account of the business done at the conference of the Otago and Southland Federation, held at Gore. Mr Hanna and some members of his class for married ladies gave an interesting demonstration of physical exorcises. These wore excellently done, and were enjoyed and admired by all. Mrs Fairbairn (secretary of the class) told of the enjoyment and benefit of these exercises. Mr Hanna followed with an instructive-address on growing old beautifully and the proper care and development of the body. The meeting closed with the National Anthem. The various demonstrations held through the year have been greatly appreciated, and all look forward to resuming in 1932.
