Mr anil Mrs J. A, Roberts and Miss Dorothy Roberts are spending Christinas at Gladbrook Station. Mr and Mrs Sloan Brown will spend Christmas in Queenstown. Mr and Mrs J. B. Oallan and their son will spend the Christmas vacation at Clydevale. Mr a'nd Mrs J. Roberts, of Selkirk, Scotland, are the guests of Sir John Roberts, Littlebourno. Miss Black, of Archerfield School, will spend the Christmas vacation in Queenstown. Miss' Blackmore, St. Hilda’s College, has gone to Wellington to meet her mother ,who arrives at Christmas from England. Mr and Mrs Harman Reeves and family are spending Christmas at Waikouaiti. Dr and Mrs A. M. Begg left on Tuesday for a holiday visit to Wanganui. Mr and Mrs J. C. Begg and family will spend the vacation at Wyndham Station. Miss , Edith Wilkin will spend the Christmas vacation at Mount Nicholas Station, as the guest pf her sister-, Mrs Mackenzie. Dr and Mrs Lindon and family are spending Christmas at Lake Tekapo, Mr and Mrs N. Y. A. Wales and family are spending Christmas in Timaru. Miss Webster left to-day for North Canterbury, where she will be the guest of Mrs Ralph ChaHey. Mr Justice Kennedy and Mrs Kennedy are spending the Christmas vacation at the Southern Lakes, with Queenstown as headquarters.

The Misses Joan and Betty Rayner, who have been touring the South Island, arrived in Wellington on Sunday morning. Mrs W. Wrather, who has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs H. M. Lund, Fendalton, Christchurch, has returned to Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Wrather will spend Christmas at Hawea. Miss Batham, principal of Wellington Girls’ College, is the guest of Mrs Guy Batham, at Macandrew Bay. Dr and Mrs R. Grant, of Adelaide, are the guests of Mrs Watson Shennan, High street, Mr and Mrs J. C. Shand and family are spending the Christmas vacation at Brighton. Mr and Mrs S. M. Park are spending the Christmas vacation at Warrington. Miss Rena Allen has returned from Lake Wanaka. , Mr and Mrs A. G. Melville will spend Christmas in Timaru. Miss M. Paterson, Woodville, is the guest of Mrs J. M. Paterson, Tennyson street. Miss E. K. Wilson is the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs A. A. Wilson, Wyndham for the Christmas vacation. Mrs R. Ewing and family are spending Christmas at their country cottage at Waihola. Mr and Mrs W. J. Morrell are spending a short holiday at Queenstown. Mr and Mrs W. B. Taverner will spend Christmas at Whare Flat. Mrs Leslie Wilson will spend Christmas at Queenstown. Mr and Mrs George Black and Miss Black are spending the Christmas vacation at Queenstown. Mrs C. Bowker, Timaru, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs A. C, Stephens, Hawthorne avenue. Misses Helen pnd Enid Paterson, Grendon street, left on Saturday for a tour of the North Island. Mr and Mrs H. E. Barrowclough left on Saturday for Auckland, where they will in future reside. Mr and Mrs J. H. Walker left on. Tuesday for Auckland, where Christmas will be spent. Mrs C. R. Chapman left on Tuesday for Christchurch, where she will pay a round of visits. ■ Mrs W. Vivian left on Tuesday for Christchurch, where she will bo the guest of her son, Dr Vivian, over Christmas. Mrs Thomas Brown left this morning by car for Timaru, where she will spend a long holiday. Mrs Denton Leech and Miss Joyce Bennett accompanied Mrs Brown to Timaru. The Misses Abraham left on Tuesday to spend a holiday in the North Island. Mr _ and Mi’s J. C. Stephens are spending Christmas at Queenstown. Mrs and Miss Dutton left on Saturday for Timaru, where they will spend a few weeks. Mr and Mrs Addess are spending Christinas at Queenstown. Mrs P. Y. Wales will leave on Thursday for Roxburgh, where she will be the guest of her son. Mr George Wales. Miss Isabel Crowe left on Monday for New Plymouth, where she will spend the vacation.

Mr and Mrs Oldharn, are visiting Wanaka for Christinas. Mr and Mrs H. K. Wilkinson are spending Christmas at Queenstown. Mr and Mrs Gerald Ferguson and family arrived at the week-end from Waimate North, and are the guests of Lady Ferguson, " Wychwood." Mr and Mrs J. Ringland are spending Christmas at Karitane. Mrs Spencer, of Auckland, who is spending Christmas in Dunedni, is the guest of her sister, Mrs Prentice, Anderson's Bay road.. Mr and Mrs H Siedeberg and their daughter ffre spending the Christmas vacation at Hampden. Mrs Longuet (Invercargill) is the guest of Miss Durie, Smith street, over Christmas. Miss Cunningham, will leave on Christmas Day by motor for Darfield. She will be accompanied by Mrs J. R. Blues. Captain and Mrs G. E. Warner, of Bedford, England, are at present visiting relations in Dunedin. Mr and Mrs D. M. Irvine and their small son are spending the Christmas vacation at Shag Point. Mr and Mrs It.
