MOTORING SMASH. David Hannah, who was injured inC the motor smash at Riccarton (Taieri)j in which Mrs Ada Berry was killed, is j reported by the Hospital authorities to. ■ be improving satisfactorily., SEVERELY BURNED. Extensive, superficial bums to the arms and legs were suffered by Percy, John Hall, North Invercargill, on Sunday morning, when a fire broke out in l the kitchen of his pears that Hall was cleaning a nut with' petrol, and; unknown to him, the gas ring, was burning at the other end of the bench upon which he was working,; Evidently the petrol fumes _ formed an' explosive mixture in the kitchen, and this suddenly burst into flames, enveloping Hall and setting fire to the kitchen. Hall was admitted to the Southland Hospital.
