CAROL SERVICE
The Roslyn Presbyterian Choir, during; last evening’s service, rendered a, fine programme of carols and Christmas anthems to a large congregation, lha choir, numbering over forty, sang .ait the carols unaccompanied, whicH brought out their simplicity in a strm- , ing manner. The choir was conducted by Mr J. Paterson, L.A.8., with Miss E. Williamson, L.A.8., at the organ.. The assisting artists were Miss® ISoni, Davidson. Tui Salt, and Ruth Sell, and. Messrs John Kennedy, Cecil Hawes, and S. Larkins (violin solo). The same choir the previous Sunday journeyed to the Seacliff Mental Hospital and rendered a programme of carols and solos to the patients. The Rev. 1 G. Gumming expressed to Mr Paterson and’ the choir members, and also to those who had provided cars, the hearty; thanks of the patients and staff tor their thoughtful action.
