SUCCESS OF ‘THE BOY’

At its third presentation in His Majesty’s Theatre last night the exceedingly humorous and tuneful farce, 1 The Boy,’ was again well received by a big audience. The Dunedin Operatic and Dramatic Society is responsible for the staging, and the comedy lias been produced by Major F. H. Dampen, with Mr T, J. Kirk-Burnnand as musical director. All the principal performers last night were in fine form, and the chorus and ballet added greatly to the enjoyment of the show with their singing and dancing. ‘ The Boy ’is perhaps the most successful production of the society, which is to bo congratulated on its achievement. There was a matinee this afternoon, when the inmates of the Montecillo Home and local orphanages were in attendance. ‘ The Boy ’ will be repeated to-night.
