A further conference between tho parties to dispose of as many of the claims as possible was suggested in tho Arbitration Court this morning by Mr Justice Frazer, when application for a new dominion award was made by the New Zealand Freezing Workers and Related Trades’ Industrial Association of Workers and the companies throughout New Zealand. There were several points in dispute. His Honour called the attention of the parties to the largo number of matters in dispute. “In view of the present situatiou, it is hopeless for tho court to attempt to complete tho overhaul of such a long and intricate award,” he said. “It is difficult to believe that in an award which has been running as long as this there can bo so many anomalies.” His Honour suggested that the parties should again confer and dispose of as many of the disputed points as possible. The court then adjourned till tho afternoon to allow tho parties to arrange a conference. Later the adjournment was extended till to-morrow morning.
