WORLD WHEAT SURPLUS
AMERICAN OFFICIAL'S PREDICTION Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, November 5. (Received November 6, at 2 p.m.) The chairman of the Farm Board (Mr Stone) to-day predicted that the burdensome world wheat surplus would bo entirely removed by next year. _ JIT Stone has received private estimates indicating that the United States winter wheat acreage will be reduced by 18 to 22 per cent. NEW YORK, November 5. A message from Santiago (Chile) states that Valparaiso advices have been received to the effect that Japanese agents had closed a deal for 100,000,000 bushels in Australia, and were considering additional wheat purchases in South, America.
