KENTUCKY BLOOD FEUD
THREE FARMERS SHOT DEAD HAZARD (Kentucky) .July 21. Three men were killed _ and one woman wounded last night in on© or the old blood feuds of Kentucky. Will Joseph went out during the day to work in his cornfield, where he was joined later by Warren, his son, and the son’s wife. On their way homo they met Harry Single and Finley Bailey, members of a group with whom they had long maintained a feud. Revolvers were drawn, and both parties dropped into cover, but not before Will Joseph had been shot dead. Firing from both sides continued until Warren Joseph had shot both Single and Bailey. His own wife had meanwhile been seriously wounded. The sheriff refuses to make any arrest until after the funerals.
