EL BRENDEL FOR PRINCESS El Brondcl needs no introduction to Dunedin theatregoers, for after his wonderful comedy work'in ‘Just Imagine ’ tiie Swedish humorist became au established favourite. Equally popular in tho real;.i of farce is that vivacious and fascinating French comedienne Fill D’Orsay. Tho appearance of cither one of these stars in a picture would be regarded as sufficient to ensure uproarious hilarity, so that it will he easy to appreciate the sparkling entertainment that is in store for patrons of the Princess Theatre when ‘ Mr Lemon of Orange ’ commences on Friday. Botli Ml Braudel and Fill D’Orsay are at their funniest in this film that wn" specially written for tlvem. Brendci has the role of the inoffensive Mr Lemon, a clerk in a toyshop, who has the misfortune to bear a remarkable resemblance to “Silent M‘Goe,” the most dangerous gangster in the underworld. The fun begins when Lemon accidentally steps into a gang war and is hailed as tho big criminal. Fill D’Orsay, a cabaret; singer, whose brother has been killed by M'Gco, looks upon Ins introduction into the proceedings as nothing short of providential, for she lias vowed all , kinds of vengeance against the gangster. ‘ Her attempts to lure Brondcl into admitting tho crime, and ins equally diverting attempts to understand what tho whole tiling is about provide amusement that is too funny for description hero. From start to finish the stars keep the entertainment spinning along at high speed, and there can ho no doubt that ail lovers of real comedy should be well catered for at tiro Princess Theatre next week.
