BIG TIDAL WAVE
COASTLINE OF NEW GUINEA SWEPT SIX LIVES LOST. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, January 9. (Received January 9, at 10.30 a.m.) Further details of the tidal wave on the northern coast lino of New Guinea on December 24 have been received. The wave affected more than _ forty miles of coastline, at places rising to a height of 25ft. The Sapora Mission Station and the trading settlement near Madang were wiped out. Six lives were lost. One man is missing, and three others were injured.
