TWO NEW APPOINTMENTS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CANBERRA, December 18. Tho Federal Cabinet has announced tho appointment of Dr H. V. Evatt, K.C., and Mr E. A. M'Tiernau, a member of tho New South Wales Assembly, to the High Court Bench. (Received December 19, at 10.5 a.m.) Dr Evatt is thirty-six years of age. His appointment is the culmination of a brilliant career at the bar, where lie has been one of the foremost advocates for several years. Ho was formerly a Labour member in the State House. Mr MTiernan, aged thirty-eight, was admitted to the Bar in 1916. Ho also represented the Labour Party in New South Wales.
