REUNION AT NEWCASTLE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEWCASTLE, December 13. (Received December 19, at 1.30 6.m.) A hundred and fifty New Zealanders resident iu the Newcastle area held their first reunion at the Oddfellows’ Hall, Auckland street. The principal guests were Air Schmitt, New Zealand Commissioner iu Australia, and his wife. Air J. Hogan, an Aucklandite, was elected president of a strong executive. Mr Schmitt announced the appointment of a New Zealand sub-agent at Newcastle to deal with the tourist business, and expressed the hope that Air Forbes, when returning from the Imperial Conference, would bo able to visit Newcastle to sco tho vast steel workshops and other big industries.
