Representative Fish whose congressional committee has conducted am investigation into Communistic activities iu America, declared to-night in a radio talk that there are 500,000 Communists and sympathisers iu .America, with 100,000 in New York City alone, and their are “ far more extensive and pernicious than was anticipated hoforo the investigation began. He said that Communism would be a serious threat to American industry but for the efforts of »o American Federation of Labour. “America cannot stand idly by and see American industries demoralised because Congress and the Federal Government continue blind to the facts.”
