Tho Union Company’s steamer Waihemo arrived at Port Chalmers this morning from Bluff and the ’crew was paid off for the vessel to lay up for a period. As soon as there is sufficient inducement the vessel will resume running in the Pacific Coast service. Tho Opihi arrived this morning from Westport via Timaru to unload coal. She then loads general cargo to-mor-row for Timaru. .Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport. The Kaimiro, after undergoing survey in dock at Port Chalmers, leaves to-morrow for Greymouth. The Wingatui leaves Bluff to-day for Dunedin, where she loads cargo to-mor-row for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The tanker Ima, which is bringing a cargo of petrol for the Shell Oil Company from Singapore, has sent a wireless stating that sho expects to arrive at Wellington to-morrow night. A further alteration has been made in the itinerary of the Government motor ship Maui Pomare, which is to bo recommissioned at Wellington shortly. Sho is now scheduled to leave Wellington on November 11 for Niue and Apia direct. The Wainui leaves Wellington tomorrow evening for Dunedin, where she is due on Monday. Sho loads and sails on Tuesday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne.

Leaving Wellington at 5 p.m. to-mor-row .the Waimarino calls at Lyttelton and Dunedin. Sho is duo here on Tuesday to unload cargo from Auckland. Early next week the Katoa loads cargo at Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Tho Port Nicholson was expected to leave Port Chalmers this afternoon for Nelson, and tho Mahana for Timaru.

She is due at Auckland on December 16. PORT HUNTER LEAVES NEW YORK, The' O. and D. Line has received cabled advice that the Port Hunter left New York on Monday with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on November 27. The Port Hunter has recently been converted into an oil-burner and has been fitted with Bauer-Wacli turbines. These turbines are fitted to, each of her twin shafts, and utilise the exhaust steam from her main turbinbs, of which there are three to each shaft. Previously the Port Hunter steamed 13$ knots and is now expected to average slightly over 15 knots, and is scheduled to make the run from New York to Auckland in twenty-four days. COMING BY TAMAROA.
