PARK CtUB A meeting of the committee of The For bury Park Trotting Club was held last night, the president • (Mr B. S. ■lrwin) in tho chair; The other members present/ were ■ Messrs. A. ■ ■ G.' Neill, W. J. L. Goughian,- James Mitchell, J. . Black, J. RicharJsonj G. J. Barton, H. Halliday, H. Archbold, R. Teller, John Mitchell, and J. Treugrovo. ■ . It was decided that the offer of the band of the Waverley Orphanage to supply music for the meetings bo accepted. . , It was resolved to cut- down,the time between races 'to 40 minutes, with 4o minutes between / second / and third. Under- this v arfangenient the starting timo.of,the first'raco will ho 12.15;and of tho last raco o.V . . ...■■ The Secretary/ of; the -New Zealand Trotting Conference wrote stating.that Mr T. J- • Beer, had been appointed to act -as; stipendiary/stoward at tbe .club’s meetings' oh; November 27 and - 29. The district traffic manager, of railways wrote stating that a special horse train, would fun from Christchurch to Dunedin on Wednesday, November, 26, time of departure to be fixed, later. A return special would, leave;Dunedin■ on Sunday, November 30,, at : 7.30 a.m., arriving at .Christchurch at 5 p.m.- This special i would convey horses in UG wagons for stations north of Oamaru, and car accommodation would be provided for owners, trainers, and attendants returning from tho meeting. The applications of Leonard Smith (Dunedin) and David Brittian Cameron (Outram) for professional licenses were recommended. The Secretary of tho Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society wrote stating that tho committee had selected Mr John Mitchell to act as judge of the trotters’ section at tho Summer Show.
