BRAVE BRITISH CONSUL REFERENCE IN COMMONS. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, November 3. Tho Foreign Secretary (Mr Arthur Henderson) gave tho House of Commons a detailed account of tho events connected with the murder by Chinese bandits of Misses Nettleton and Harrison, two British women. He described the courageous attempts of tho British Consul, Mr A. J. Martin, to effect their release and the personal risks ho ran. The British Minister formally demanded punitive measures against the culprits, and tho Chinese Government replied that they would be severely handled. Apparently the Chinese authorities were stdl attempting to bring the murderers to justice. Mr Baldwin asked if tho Foreign Secretary would convey to the Consul appreciation from tho House for his gallant conduct, and Mr Henderson said ho certainly would do so.
