Through the new talking equipment at the King Edward Theatre, the management is presenting Laura La Plante in ‘ Hold Your Man? This film offers a very fascinating story which provides excellent entertainment. The supporting programme leaves nothing to be desired.
‘BULLDOG DRUMMOND/ Featuring Ronald Colman in the leading role, ‘ Bulldog Drummond,’ Samuel Goldwyn’s screen version of the famous English stage melodrama, will be shown at the King Edward Theatre on Wednesday. There is a strong supporting cast in the production, including Joan Bennett, Montague Love, Lawrence Grant, and Lilyan Tashman. The photography of ‘Bulldog Drummond ’ is said to bo one of the finest examples of/ modern camera work and atmospheric settings which Hollywood has yet produced. It is said that at every turn the emotion of the succession of thrilling events is reflected in the lights and shadows and perspectives of the backgrounds.
