AH AUTOMATIC PLANT INVENTED IN AUSTRALIA. Pres* Association —By Telegraph—Copyrght SYDNEY, September 17, An elaborate mail sorting plant, which occupied many months to install in Sydney General Post Office and cost £120,000, is now in operation, and an experiment carried out with 50,000 dummy letters revealed 100 per cent, efficiency. The whole thing is . automatic, and is a purely Australian invention. There are 100 electric motors used in the mechanism.
