CLYDESDALE HORSE PARADE

Entries, for the annual Clydesdala horse parade, to be held under the auspices of the Otago A. and P. Society,; closed yesterday with a total of twentyfive entries as compared with thirty, last year. In the class for stallions four-year-old or over the following animals will compete:—Brunsdan a Duplicate (2.049), Hero Bold (2,168) „ Golden Knight (2,073), King of Kintyre (2,082), Seamer (2,223), M'Quaid of Ochtertyre (2,186), Royal Risque (2,219). Windermere Obligation (2,243,. SirLockie (2,226), and Cannie Scott. Thedecision of ..the two judges appointed. (Mr Robert Kennedy, of Otautau, and Mr John Tisdall, of Oamaru) will no doubt bo awaited ivith considerable interest." In the class for the Clydesdale Horse Society's (Wright Stephenson and Co.) Perpetual Cup, two entries have been received. These horses will be examined by Mr C. V. Bayiis, M.R.C.V.S., on the grounds on tho morning of the parade. The conditions attached to this class are that animals have to be certified as being free lroui certain hereditary diseases before they are allowed to compete. No animal which has received one win, and whosa name has been inscribed on the cup, is eligible to compete again. The cup has been competed for since 1924, and it will no doubt be interesting to record the names of the horses, -which have so far been successful:—l924, Scot-: land's Victor; 1925, Medrox Print; 1926, Rav of Hope; 1927, Archaic; 1928, Desire; 1929, Brtinsdane Duplicate. Trains will be running between Dunedin and, Tabuna Park gates from 10 o'clock on the morning of theparade. The following is a comparison of the entries received this year and last: —
