IF MARRIED TO ALIENS LONDON, September 5. In a letter to ‘The Times-, ’■ the_ Nationality of Married Women .Committee urges that the British Government at tlio Imperia' Conference should propose that each dominion promote legislation to provide that a British woman does not lose he T nationality by marriage to an alien and undertake to do the same itself. * i “ The support of a number of dominions i® assured, but iff all are not prepared to act together, tho Government ought tc make clear that uniformity must giv- place to justice,” the letter says. “ Tho fundamental political right of the women of Britain and the majority oi tho dominions must not be sacrificed to the veto of one, and perhaps two, dominions.” _ ; . Numerous influential signatories, include Lord Elibank, Sir Gilbert Murray. Mrs Corbett Ashby, Mrs Despard, and Mass Chrystall MacMillan.
